Expanded Polystyrene is rigid, light weight,
and has a closed cell insulation. By controlling
the density of expanding beads during
the manufacturing process, we can custom
produce insulation materials to meet the
specific requirement of your application.
Insolite Expanded Polystyrene boards manufactured
by SSI conform to the British and American
Standards.
Type
N (Normal)
Consist of 100% closed cell polystyrene
expendable beads.

Thickness
& Tolerances
Thickness can be cut as required,
ranging from 10mm to maximum 1290mm.
On specification thickness, lengths
and widths, the tolerance will be
+/-2mm.

Type
A (Fire Retardant)
Is similar to Type N but meets the
additional requirements for the extent
of burn when tested with the method
given, BS 4735. this requirement is
met by incorporation of flame retardant
additives and other appropriate modification.

Cut Boards
The large, moulded blocks are hot
wire cut on flat lines to any desired
thickness, width, and length. And
our CAD/ CAM capabilities provide
you an infinite variety of standard
and custom products.
